Engines

Engines are the AI answer surfaces Voxoria queries for you. Voxoria tracks the major AI answer engines, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Each one runs your active prompts and captures the answers your analytics are built from. For where engines sit in the wider model, see Core concepts.

You can track up to three engines per project. Which engines are available to you depends on your plan.

Three is usually enough to read the market: different engines tell different stories, and tracking your top surfaces gives you a representative picture without paying to run every prompt everywhere. If your share of voice looks strong in one engine and weak in another, that gap is itself a signal of where to focus.

Each engine runs your active prompts once a day. A single daily run produces one captured answer per prompt, per engine — the raw material for visibility, share of voice, sources, and sentiment.

Inactive prompts don’t run, and suggested prompts only start running once you accept them. See Prompts for the active/inactive model.

You pick your engines during project setup, in onboarding — see the Quickstart. This is currently the only place engines are chosen.

There is no self-serve screen to change a project’s engines after setup yet. If you need to add, remove, or swap an engine on an existing project, contact support and we’ll make the change for you.
